SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENTS
Slip and fall accidents can be the most difficult personal injury case that a person can encounter. In Ohio the law protects businesses from most slip and fall cases. If a business has a dangerous condition of its premises that causes a person to slip or fall a lot of times a person cannot recover because the law requires a person to keep a lookout for dangerous conditions. Even if it is one that you could not see the law requires the business owner to have had notice of the dangerous condition prior to the slip or fall. Not only that but the owner must have had time to have rectified the condition prior to the slip and fall. The law further distinguishes between a person who is invited upon premises and one who is simply allowed to come onto the premises or one who is a trespasser.
If you are involved in an automobile accident, do not admit to being at fault. I have had clients who admitted fault but who found out later that they were not at fault after all. Do not settle with the insurance company until you determine the extent of your injuries. A lot of times injuries do not surface for 2-3 days or even a week. Once you settle you can’t go back.
Always go the emergency room or urgent care as soon as possible. The insurance company will always use any delay in seeking treatment against you. You are not rewarded for suffering through pain at work or at home.
Never seek to represent yourself in an automobile accident. Insurance companies love it when a person like you are unrepresented. They will take advantage of you! Let us work with you to get a fair settlement.
We can represent you in whatever legal capacity necessary.
